Hardwick originated Stacee Jaxx's role at the Rock of Ages during a premier run in Los Angeles (2005-2006). In 2011, he started hosting the Ministry of Laughs , a BBC America Britcom block, and Talking Dead , an hourly talk show on AMC after the episode The Walking Dead and Afraid of Walking Dead . In 2013, Hardwick hosted Talking Bad , half-hour talkshow live on AMC after the last eight episodes of Breaking Bad , and in 2016 he started hosting Talking Saul for Breaking Bad ' s spin-off, Better Call Saul . He is also known for appearing with Mike Phirman on Hard 'n Phirm, hosting Singled Out , Wired Science , Web Soup , and as his voice Otis The Cow at Back at Barnyard , replacing Kevin James.
He also created Nerdist Industries, operator of the Nerdist Podcast Network, and home of The Nerdist Podcast, which later left the network with Hardwick and renamed ID10T with Chris Hardwick. Her podcast currently has 966 episodes, being one of the most popular and long-lived podcasts on iTunes.

Hardwick was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on November 23, 1971. He was the professional bowler son of Billy Hardwick (1941-2013) and Sharon Hills (nÃÆ' à © e Facente), a real estate agent in Pasadena, California. Hardwick studied philosophy at UCLA, where he was a member of the Chi Phi Brotherhood during his first year and graduated in 1993. He was a roommate with Wil Wheaton for some time. They met at the Arachnophobia show in Burbank, California.

Hardwick was a DJ at the Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM during the mid-1990s. In the fall of 1998, he starred in the comedy movie UPN Guys Like Us ; the show aired 12 episodes before being canceled in January 1999.
Hardwick appeared in the horror film Rob Zombie House of 1000 Corpses and Halloween II . He also made a small appearance on Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. In 2010, she was featured in the film The Mother of Invention. She made guest appearances on shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation , Married... with Children , Boys Meet the World and Zoey 101 , and was a guest commentator at VH1's I Love the '90s , which premiered in 2005. Hardwick publishes a self-help book, The Nerdist Way: How to Achieve the Next Level (In Real Life) , with Penguin Publishing, at the end of 2011. In February 2012, GeekChicDaily fully merges with Nerdist Industries and becomes Nerdist News, with Hardwick operating as Chief Creative Officer.
On July 10, 2012, Nerdist Industries was acquired by Legendary Entertainment. Hardwick was named the co-president of the Legendary digital business.
In February 2018, Hardwick announced that he would rebranding the Nerdist Podcast to ID10T and that he would leave Nerdist because the contract with Legendary ended in 2017.

Hardwick voiced Alexander Hamilton in The Radio Adventures of Dr Floyd and Otis in the series Barnyard (this character was originally voiced by actor Kevin James in the movie Barnyard: The Original Party Animals ).
He voted for the Green Arrow/Oliver Queen on The Batman and Lego Dimensions , Glowface at The X's , and Sokka at The Legend Korra , as well as voice work for The Minstrel Show from the Little Brother rap group, and the narrative for an introductory video for the Flash animated game Video of George Plimpton Falconry . Between May 2013 and July 2016, he voiced "Craig the Snake" on Sanjay and Craig . He also voiced Vaughn's character in the Tales Telltale Games from Borderlands.

Hosting
In 1993, Hardwick hosted a MTV game Trashed , in which contestants would answer trivia questions or risk some of their destroyed items. From 1995 to 1998, he hosted the MTV Singles Out game show, where the main contestants chose from a collection of 50 people based on their attributes without seeing them. While working on Singled Out , she meets fellow MTV member Jacinda Barrett, who is her fiance but never married. Later, he hosted a syndicated dating event Shipmates .

In 2007, both his stand and duo solo actions were featured on the Comedy Death Ray comedy compilation CD. Hard 'n Phirm completed several songs for the animated film Rob Zombie 2009 The Haunted World of El Superbeasto . Hardwick announced plans to perform a live stand-up album from his 2009 tour. He has toured as a leading comedian for Joel McHale. In 2010, he appeared as a stand-up comic in the New Olive Stand-Up Event John Oliver twice. Personal life
Hardwick was previously engaged to model/actress Jacinda Barrett and in relationship with actress Janet Varney from 2004 to 2011, and with model and actress Chloe Dykstra from late 2011 to July 2014. She became engaged to model, blogger, heir and actress Lydia Hearst at 12 September 2015, and both married on August 20, 2016, in Pasadena, California.
Hardwick talked openly about becoming an alcoholic and said he had been aware since October 8, 2003.
Alleged abuse
On June 14, 2018, Hardwick's former girlfriend Chloe Dykstra published an essay on Medium in which she claimed to have suffered emotional and sexual abuse by an ex-girlfriend; in retaliation for ending the relationship, he allegedly broke into a career blacklist. The essay does not mention the perpetrator, but time and some key details, such as the offender who is nearly 20 years older than him and has gone from "a little successful podcaster to the CEO of a power plant from his own company," leads the readers to conclude. is Hardwick.
In response, Nerdist removed all mention of Hardwick from his website and released an official statement saying "This type of behavior is contrary to everything we strive for and believe [...] The company has removed all references to Mr. Hardwick even as the original Founder of Nerdist awaits an investigation more. Hardwick has rejected Dykstra's claim, saying, "Our three-year relationship is not perfect - we are ultimately not a good match and arguing - even shouting at each other - but I love him, and do my best to lift and support him. anything and I never attacked him sexually.
