BKV Inc. is an independently owned marketing agency located in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently considered a full service, the agency was initially specialized in direct response marketing, later expanded to traditional media, followed by digital media. BKV was founded in 1981 with Six Flags Theme Parks as one of the first clients.
In 1996, BKV created and produced two minutes of DRTV advertising for Dirt Devil to introduce Broom Vac three months prior to the retail launch. This live response television campaign sold over 100,000 units during that period. The advertisement was launched after the Christmas season and helped lead to the Mother's Day gift purchase season.
In 2001, BKV used Marin Software to simplify the client's online advertising program for on-boarding, reporting, and optimization.
Beginning and mid-March 2001, BKV launched a series of direct response television ads for Marietta Matria Healthcare Inc. for their diabetes self-care division. Target audience of DRTV ads are seniors aged 65 and up. They call a toll-free number to order diabetes care supplies by mail instead of a pharmacy.
June 2001, Direct Results Network was created as a BKV twin company. In 2002, the name was changed to Response Mine Interactive (RMI). RMI is an interactive advertising agency specializing in search engine marketing, online retail, and consumer generation generation.
In 2002, Ad Age named BKV one of the top agencies with US direct marketing revenues at # 49.
On September 2, 2005, BKV employees raised money on the Buckhead streets for victims of Hurricane Katrina. The agent owners Brent Kuhn and Maribett Varner match the raised donations and BKV send $ 3,218 to the American Red Cross.
In 2006, BKV began using marketing techniques to better reach clients and consumers by using video and audio podcasts and mobile platforms.
In 2007, Equifax chose BKV to handle $ 11 million for direct response, search engine optimization, and marketing services. To expand the communication program beyond the internet, Equifax chose to use print, direct mail and direct response.
BKV joined Weyforth-Haas Marketing Overland Park, Kansas in 2007. The merged company took BKV Inc. in 2008.
BKV and RMI sister company moved to 8th, 9th and 10th floors at Lenox Towers at 3390 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Georgia, 30326 in June 2009 with the help of CresaPartners. BKV was previously located at 2964 Peachtree Road for ten years.
During the 2012 holiday season, BKV helped create the "Share of Hope" video for Children's Health Care Atlanta (CHOA). Digital and video sharing campaigns are created to encourage people to send messages and supportive contributions to patients who have to spend their vacations at the hospital.
In 2013, Dave Mundo, Director of Analytics at BKV, speaks at Digital Summit Atlanta about media content and marketing with entrepreneurs and digital strategists.
On December 30, 2013, Decluttr launched its advertising campaign on TBS, MTV, Comedy Central, Spike and SyFy with BKV. Decluttr is an online service that buys DVDs, CDs and video games used from consumers.
In 2014, Jana Ferguson, EVP and Client Service Director, speaks at Digital Summit Atlanta about the importance of being driven and analytical results in paid search marketing, advertising displays, email acquisitions and web development.
Greg Lee, Director of SEO at BKV, speaks at SES Atlanta in 2015 on brand visibility and search engine optimization. SES Atlanta is a conference that focuses on different types of search marketing from paid search to organic search.
In 2015, Todd Chambers, Group Creative Director VP at BKV, discusses web design strategies and trends and user experiences at SEMPO Google Hangout. Expert guest speakers discussed this topic in open question and answer format.
In October 2015, BKV provides non-profit marketing services to support 48in48 as a sponsor and volunteer source including web designers, developers, and copywriters. The event, which took place at the General Assembly in Ponce City Market, provided 48 WordPress sites exclusively for 48 non-profit organizations based in Atlanta no later than 48 hours.
