DirecTV's United States satellite service uses Red Keys in certain interactive capacities, such as for example, raises "SkorGuide", a list of sports matches and scores played at the time, on sports networks like ESPN. However, for boxes older than about 2006-2014, the red button is mainly used for guiding functions along with three other colored buttons, very similar to Sky Digital; the latest remote that DirecTV has started to offer alongside their "Genie" whole-house DVR only has a red button, while the other key functions are relegated to another key. DirecTV is the only TV provider in the US that provides a red button service; Other providers do offer interactive services, but do not use red keys (such as rival Dish Network and Verizon FiOS IPTV providers, and others do not offer many ways of interactivity.
