Door-to-door is a highlighting technique commonly used for sales, marketing, advertising, or campaigns, where people or people walk from door to door, trying to sell or advertise products or services to the general public or gather information. People who use this sales approach are often referred to as a traveling salesman, or an old-name drummer, to "turn on business". This technique is also sometimes called direct sales. This variant involves a cold call first, when other sales representatives try to get approval that the seller should visit.
