Viola Davis (born August 11, 1965) is an American actress and producer. Considered one of the greatest actresses of his generation, he is the first black actress to be nominated for three Academy Awards, winning one, and is the only black person currently to reach the Triple Crown of Acting (Oscar, Emmy, and Tony, in category of acting).

Born in St. Louis Matthews, South Carolina, he began his acting career starring in small theatrical productions. Early life and education

Davis was born on August 11, 1965 at St. Matthews, South Carolina. Princess Mary Alice (Logan) and Dan Davis, she grew up in Rhode Island with three of her five siblings.

In 2011, Davis donated funds to his hometown public library in Central Falls, Rhode Island to help prevent the closure due to lack of city funds. In 2018, Davis donated funds to his alma mater, Central Falls High School, for his theater program.
