The Cooking Channel is an American cable channel owned by Discovery, Inc. This channel is a spin-off of the Food Network, broadcasting programming related to food and cooking.
In February 2015, the Cooking Channel was available for approximately 61,951,000 pay-TV households (53.2% of households with television) in the United States.

This channel was announced by Scripps in 2001 and launched the following year as Fine Living (later Fine Living Network , FLN ). The brand is positioned toward high-income audiences "who want guidance in helping their spare time," and featuring a mix of lifestyle and theme themed deals with topics such as travel and adventure, finance, real estate, "everyday activities, and technology. Scripps positioned Fine Living as a multi-platform brand, after launching a companion website, and purchased a 49% stake in a free-circulation magazine to be merged with the channel. Scripps plans to invest $ 100 million in the original program for Fine Living.
In 2007, Fine Living earned a primetime encore from the syndicated series The Martha Stewart Show . The network then adds Anything, Martha! , a series featuring his daughters Alexis Stewart and Jennifer Hutt happily rummaging through recordings from Martha Stewart Living .
As Cooking Channel
In October 2009, Scripps Networks Interactive announced that Fine Living will be relaunched as a Cooking Channel in 2010. This network will be a spin-off of Food Network-oriented instructional and personality-based programming, largely displaced by the growth of reality and the Food Network competition program. This network airs both new series, and programming archives from the Food Network. The Cooking Channel was launched on May 31, 2010 (to coincide with the Memorial Day holiday), boosted from the planned launch later this year.

The Emeril Lagasse Food Network, Rachael Ray, and Bobby Flay included the first to air a new program on the channel, including Emeril Fast Food , Week In A Day , and Brunch @ Bobby's .
The original program includes a food education program hosted by Mo Rocca Food (ography) and a combination of reality TV series and the Extra Virgin cooking show, featuring live actress snippets of Debi Mazar, her husband Italian chef, Gabriele Cocoros, their two children, and various friends and family members. The weekly series of Robert Earl's Be My Guest , which aired in September 2014, features businessman and restaurant owner Robert Earl as he walks behind a velvet rope to share the secrets and best dining destinations. During February 2015, a new show, Unwrapped 2.0 (revival of the original Food Network series Unwrapped ) began airing. Since September 2014 actress Haylie Duff presents the True Girl Kitchen and Haylie's America .
